We are pleased to announce to you that our Dates for the online competition Awards ceremony and Exhibition are now decided. 12.01.2011 - 16.01.2011 The date of the AWARDS Ceremony will be Wednesday the 12th of January 2011 and the Exhibition will continue for the following days until Sunday the 16th of January. Nicosia - Melina Mercury Hall The images will be chosen from the winning two entries from each category per month and the best image of the two will be entered into the awards. We will award one winner to each category and one overall winner.
| Community It doesn't matter if you are shooting with a 'Box Brownie' or a 'Canon 5D' this site will be a useful tool for all photographers to learn, enjoy and share photography on all levels. Through our forum you will be able to share experience and knowledge with other photographers. Monthly Photo Competition The main focus of the site will present itself in the form of monthly competition to encourage photographers of all levels to share their work, and, as 'every day is a school day' it will also be a platform for each and every member to develop and perfect their skills. Each month, the two best images from each category will be displayed on the site for the whole year. They will be decided by a selection of the top, well-known photographers from around the world. The competition is segregated into 12 Professional categories and 9 Amateur categories. Also the best photograph from all categories, from both Professional and Amateur, will be displayed, with the name and country of the photographer, in the photo of the month section on the site. (See top right image) Forum The forum will be your connection with our members from all over the world, where you can improve techniques, learn about new technologies and share ideas and inspirations. With the vast release and speed that new cameras and programs are being introduced to us, we can, as a community, share our thoughts and discussions about new hardware and software available. Use the forum to build contacts and make friends with like minded people from all nations. The Judges We are collecting a high caliber of judges from all over the world, to judge our monthly photo competition. Our first competition will start in June and you can enter one image into each of the categories. By the end of the month, the images will be judged and the top two images from each section will be displayed on the site for the whole year. The name, country and websites of each judge will be displayed here so you can see their work. Great News! We have the first of our Judges for our monthy competitions. Joe Smith of Malta, will be judging the Fine Art (Pro) and (Ama) competition and also the Monochrome (Ama) and Event (pro) competition. JLuis Guardia and Jose Luis Guardia Vazquez of Spain will be taking on the Wedding (Pro) competiton. Vincent O'Byrne of Dublin Ireland, will be judging Fashion and Glamour category and Commercial and Advertising also Fine Art Nude. Trevor and Faye Yerbury of Scotland will be judging Fashion & Glamour and Fine Art and Fine Art Nude categories. Paul Gallagher of Scotland will be judging Landscape category for both professionals and amateurs and Monochrome category.
